Boston Bruins make one of the best trades in team history.

May 15, 1967

The Bruins acquire center Phil Esposito, and forwards Ken Hodge and Fred Stanfield from the Chicago Black Hawks for defenseman Gilles Marotte, forward Pit Martin, and goalie Jack Norris. Esposito goes on to become the top scorer and one of the most popular players on the team. A bumper sticker at the time declares, “Jesus Saves . . . And Esposito Scores on the Rebound.”
